To better serve school programs, CTE advisory committees can be enhanced by diversifying membership to include local employers, alumni, students, and post-secondary partners, ensuring a broader perspective on industry needs. Clearly defined roles and expectations, supported by a committee handbook, can improve engagement and focus. Strengthening employer involvement through classroom presentations, internships, and evaluations connects instruction with real-world applications. Meetings should be data-driven and aligned with strategic goals, focusing on program improvement and workforce alignment. Governtment is a huge entitity. It is best to start at the Grassroots level and adovate for CTE at the local and state levels. 

Several school programs and activities can be enhanced by greater community engagement. These include incorporating community service projects, partnering with local businesses for career workshops, and creating events that bring the school and community together. Additional possibilities include student-led awareness campaigns, intergenerational activities, and environmental initiatives.

It is important to remember their a very specific criteria for spending Perkins Funds and asking questions about where and how the funds or being spent. While many things purchased could be linked to CTE that does not garuntee they qualify for perkins spending. 

The rules generally support the goal. Some however related to limits at the middle school level or the inability to cover the cost of elemenraty CTE programing limits the ability to grow excitment and awarness of CTE opportunites for students to older grades where many students may have already begun to choose a potential career path. 

CTE is seen as the lower way through.

We are either a "go to college" or "quietly go away" school. There is little discussion of careers outside of professional careers that can be reached through attaining a college degree.

The culture is hands down the most impactful portion in our building. 

Most schools would benefit from having teachers cross teach with CTE educators using their topic. This benefits both parties. 

Utilizing successful recent graduates has been a very successful strategy. Having them come back, and talk with the current students seems to have an outsized impact on the current students.
